Bridal Shower Fun

Saturday was my bridal shower. It was the best bridal shower a girl could ask for! My sister planned the whole thing at the Wildflower Tea House. We played games, ate some delicious food, opened lots of presents, and got to spend time with friends and family. I felt so loved and so special! Ben and I got some really great stuff and I can’t wait to use it all! Thank you so much for a great day!

Weekend Update

I went to Paris about 5 years ago with my parents and absolutely loved it. The food was amazing, the museums and architecture are amazing. The shopping was unbelievable! When I found out about the Paris Street Market in Littleton I needed to go. Last Saturday, Ben and I hit it up and it was great! They have everything there-antiques, furniture, clothes, accessories, art work, and of course food!

The Market. It's rows and rows of vendors....And about a million people!

I love this old bike

I think KiKi needs her very own princess bed...

Love it!

Not the most flattering picture ever, but i'll blame it on the heat!
We got an apple strudel to share.

That night I met up with my friend Dez, and her daughter Eden. My favorite cake lady, Melody from Sweet and Saucy Cakes was going to be on TLC. I love her. Her cakes are absolutely amazing! Plus, she has a red Kitchenaid mixer just like mine! I think we'd be friends if we met in real life. Anyways, I don't have cable set up at my new place yet, so Dez was nice enough to record it for me.

Me and Eden at Rock Bottom

In honor of our cake watching evening, we picked up some cupcakes. Delicious! Thanks Dez for recording my show and letting me come over! You're the best!

The next day, we headed up to Windsor to help move my sister and brother-in-law. They moved back home from California, and I couldn't be happier!! This is the view on the way up there. Welcome home, guys!

Things to do, Places to check out

Moving to a new neighborhood is both exciting and frustrating. I don't really know where anything is yet, so I’ve done a little research on places I want to check out. Here’s my list….

*Romancing the Bean. Looks like a cute little coffee shop
*Serendipi-TEA Shoppe. I think my mom got me hooked on cute little tea houses
*Hot Pots. It’s a pottery place where you can paint pre-made pottery. We had dinner with one of Ben’s co-workers and his wife, and she made an awesome flower vase there
*Café de France. Breakfast and France, 2 of my favorite things
*Kate’s wine bar. A European style wine bar with appetizers and wines
*Farmer’s Market. Farmer’s markets are so fun to me. There are so many random things thrown together in a parking lot!
*Hudson Gardens. I think it’s similar to the Botanic Gardens….They have bands come in and play and during August they have a chocolate garden
*A Paris Street market. I LOVE everything about Paris. There’s really only 1 date left that I can go check it out, September 4th. So if you’re interested in going with me, let me know!!
*Blue Moo’d Lounge. They have nights for poker, karaoke, and jazz.
*Parks and Reservoirs. There are several of both located all around Littleton

That’s my list for now. I’ll keep ya posted on the good finds!

Football, Presents, and a Girl's Night

Football training camp has officially begun. And, by now, you should know how much I love football. Love it!! When I was younger, I would record college games and watch them over and over again. It would really annoy my sister. Saturday Ben and I were out shopping around and stopped in Dick’s Sporting Goods. Right inside the front doors was a table lined with helmets. So of course I had to try one on!

I am ready for some football!!!!

I am all moved and settled in to the new house. Ben and I decided to buy ourselves a couple of housewarming presents. I’ve had my eye on this cute vase for a long time. I figured the new place could use a new vase!

I’ve wanted a chiminea for several years now. Both my mom and grandma have one and it’s so nice to sit out on the patio and enjoy a little fire. Our patio isn’t big enough for a real chiminea, BUT, we did find a mini one! It holds a candle perfectly. I think a glass of wine and a book will be great compliments.

Last week, my friend, and bridesmaid, Dez invited me to go to a girl’s night Rockies game. Her friends Heather and Lisa were there as well. The Rockies lost, but we had a great time! Thanks for the fun night out, Dez!
