The Happenings
A lot has happened in the several months that I’ve been MIA. Here’s a quick rundown of some of the highlights
~I started a new job! I’ve been working at CAM2 International since mid-March. We manufacture and sell engine lubricants. It’s been a great change! I’m not as stressed, I enjoy the people I work with, it’s in the foothills so the view is awesome, and I even work with a couple of fellow Christians. Such a blessing!!
~My sister and I have enjoyed some good quality time together when Ben is out of town. We've gone fishing, done lots of shopping, and just enjoyed each other's company
Up in Estes getting ready to go fishing on the boat!
Me, Casey, and Curt. Unfortunately we didn't catch anything, but we had a lot of fun!
One of the best cinnamon rolls ever. A place called Silver Grill in Ft. Collins
We took a walk along the Poudre trail. It was so pretty!
~I made cake balls for Erin's graduation party. I think they turned out super cute!
Freezing our buns off!
~I got a sweet new road bike at a bike swap. She's awesome! And i love that it's something Ben and I can do together
~The Witter's came out to spend Memorial Day weekend here. Marcus and Emily ran the Bolder Boulder, while Boyd, Pam, Ben, and I cheered them on and watched the kids.

Jae and I in the stands cheering on the runners
~Ben and I are doing a race a month for a year. We've done 9 so far. It's been a great challenge and we've had some great times together. Some races have been a bust, some have been really hard, and we've found some new favorites!
We did the City Solve Urban Race throughout downtown denver. It's a road race meets scavenger hunt. You had to solve clues in order to find the next destination. Ben and I finished 7th out of about 125 teams. Not too shabby!
We also did our first trail race. I was super excited about this and had always had a romantical vision about trail races. It sounds so great running in the mountains on dirt trails. This race literally kicked my butt. It was at higher elevation- 8800 feet and it was super hilly. People were even throwing up! But, we both finished and i'm super proud of that! Plus, the views were gorgeous. I think i'll just stick to my boring 'ol city running for now.

Winter Hike
We had planned on going snowshoeing with our friends Eric and Erin. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough snow so we went for a hike at Horsetooth in Ft. Collins instead. It was quite an adventurous hike! It was super icy in spots and it was snowing pretty hard on our way down.

Erin and I up by the top
This crazy ice section was so hard to get up and down! Ben and Eric thought it would be fun to try and "skate" down it...until Eric fell...and just kept sliding
This was how clear it was when we started out on the hike
And this is what it looked like on our way down
After our hike we headed over to the Odell Brewing company
